U.S.-listed crypto exchange-traded funds remained net buyers on August 19, with currently reported data showing approximately $184.4 million flowing into Bitcoin, Ether and Solana products as cryptocurrency markets staged one of their strongest rallies of the month.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a provisional $164.2 million in net inflows, according to Farside Investors. The total extends the category’s positive run following $297.5 million on August 17 and $189.3 million on August 18.

ARK 21Shares’ ARKB led currently reported Bitcoin flows with $77.7 million, followed by Bitwise’s BITB at $35.6 million. Grayscale’s GBTC attracted $21.2 million, its lower-fee Bitcoin Mini Trust added $19.7 million and Morgan Stanley’s MSBT recorded $10 million.

Importantly, flow figures for BlackRock’s IBIT and Fidelity’s FBTC were still unreported on Farside’s live table at the time of writing. The $164.2 million figure should therefore be considered provisional rather than the definitive full-session total.

Bitcoin Extends Three-Day Institutional Buying Streak

Even before outstanding issuer data is included, Bitcoin ETFs have now recorded at least $651 million of net inflows over the August 17-19 period.

That represents a substantial reversal from the preceding three sessions. Bitcoin ETFs lost $61.1 million on August 12, $131.1 million on August 13 and $56.2 million on August 14, totaling $248.4 million in withdrawals.

The renewed ETF demand coincided with a dramatic Bitcoin rally on Wednesday. BTC surged through $68,000 and briefly traded near $69,000, its highest level in almost three months, while a large derivatives squeeze forced leveraged bearish traders out of positions.

The fund-level composition was also broader than earlier this week. BlackRock’s IBIT dominated August 18 with $143.6 million, while Fidelity added $23.9 million. On August 19, however, ARK, Bitwise, Grayscale and Morgan Stanley all recorded meaningful positive flows before BlackRock and Fidelity data were available.

Ether and Solana ETFs Add Smaller Inflows

Ether ETFs recorded a provisional $17.7 million net inflow, extending their positive run after attracting $30.9 million on August 17 and $71.4 million on August 18.

Grayscale accounted for the reported Ether activity. Its lower-fee Ethereum Mini Trust attracted $16 million, while ETHE added $1.7 million. Bitwise’s ETHW and 21Shares’ TETH were flat.

However, BlackRock’s ETHA, BlackRock’s ETHB and Fidelity’s FETH were among products still lacking August 19 figures, meaning the final category total could change materially.

Solana ETFs meanwhile recorded $2.5 million in provisional net inflows. Bitwise’s BSOL attracted $5.6 million, partially offset by a $3.1 million withdrawal from Grayscale’s GSOL. Several other Solana products had not yet reported.

The flows accompanied a broad crypto-market rally in which Ether surged through $2,100 and Bitcoin approached $69,000. More than $1 billion in leveraged Bitcoin short positions were liquidated within roughly an hour during the move.

The August 19 ETF picture therefore remains incomplete, but currently available numbers point toward a third consecutive strong Bitcoin inflow session and continued positive demand for Ether and Solana exposure.

Final totals could rise or fall once outstanding issuer data, particularly BlackRock and Fidelity, are incorporated into the daily calculations.
