More than 300,000 air fryers sold at Walmart, Target and Kohl’s recalled for burn hazard

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Bigboss’ ARC-363GD air fryers are being recalled due to a burn hazard. The air fryers were sold at Walmart, Target and Kohl’s stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com from July 2018 through May 2021 for between $30 and $50.

The air fryer’s heating element can ignite food debris that has fallen into the unit casing, posing burn hazards to consumers.

Walmart and Target have received 30 reports of incidents, including six reports of minor burns. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled air fryers and contact Bigboss for a refund.

The recalled air fryers were sold in black and measure around 17 inches by 13.5 inches by 11.5 inches. “Bigboss” is printed on the front of the unit and “ARC-363GD” is printed on a label that is located one the underside of the unit.

Consumers can contact Bigboss at (866) 650-1735 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or online at www.bigboss.com or email info@bigboss.com for more information.
