Gunman kills 14 people and wounds 25 others at Prague university
On the morning of Thursday, December 11th, 2020, a gunman shot and killed 14 people and wounded 25 others at the University of Prague in the Czech Republic. The shooter was identified as a 25-year-old man with a history of mental illness who had briefly been a student at the university. He used a gun of unknown origin and reportedly committed suicide shortly after the incident.
There is no known motive for the attack. The Czech Republic is deeply mourning for the victims of the shooting and Prime Minister Andrej Babiš expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and his sympathies to those harmed both physically and emotionally.
