80% of South Koreans Consider Crypto a Form of Gambling, Survey Finds
According to a survey conducted by the Korean Blockchain Research Association, roughly 80% of South Koreans consider cryptocurrency as a form of gambling. The survey also found that the majority of respondents, 79%, were interested in cryptocurrencies but had little or no knowledge when it came to investing in them. The survey also revealed that some respondents thought cryptocurrencies to be volatile, risky, and speculative. Additionally, the survey highlighted that most South Koreans were not well-versed in the crypto space, with only 14% of those surveyed reporting having a good understanding of it. This indicates that there is still room for mass adoption of cryptocurrencies in the country as the majority of South Koreans are still unfamiliar with the technology.
