Trump medical report released as Biden faces concerns over age, health
A medical report released by the Trump campaign on Friday aims to quell concerns about Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s age and health.
The report, authored by Dr. Sean Conley, a board-certified family medicine physician, outlines that Biden is in “overall very good health,” although he does suffer from an irregular heartbeat and skin cancer on his face and hand.
“The evaluation showed no evidence of acute or chronic diseases that would limit the U.S. senator’s ability to perform the duties of the president of the United States,” the report reads.
Among the details provided were that Biden has a normal heart rate and resting heart rate, a normal range of blood sugar levels, and normal cholesterol levels. The report also mentions that Biden’s skin cancer had been “fully excised” and is “cured.”
The 77-year-old former vice president has faced increasing scrutiny over his age and health in recent months, with President Trump repeatedly raising concerns about “Sleep Joe”—Biden’s nickname for being prone to long pauses during campaign events.
The report is likely to add some reassurance to voters considering Biden as a contender in the upcoming presidential election.
