Famous Economist and Crypto Hater Nouriel Roubini Launches His Own Cryptocurrency
Nouriel Roubini, the economist known for his harsh criticism of cryptocurrencies, has recently launched his own blockchain-based token called the “Roubini stablecoin,” aimed at bringing stability to the crypto market. The coin is a non-inflationary token, backed by a basket of fiat currencies, on the Ethereum blockchain, backed by a taming mechanism. Roubini claims that the token is backed by a basket of stable fiat currencies from around the world. He believes that the token will help reduce volatility in the cryptocurrency market and provide a reliable mechanism to transact. This may provide an alternative to other tokens that have been subject to extreme price swings, especially the recent spike in Bitcoin.
