Sam Bankman-Fried to testify in federal fraud trial, attorney says
Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of FTX, is set to testify in a federal fraud trial next week, according to his attorney. Bankman-Fried was called as a witness in a case involving charges of wire fraud, conspiracy and money laundering brought against two Israeli entrepreneurs. According to his attorney, Bankman-Fried is expected to testify about his business dealings with one of the defendants, Nir Hefetz. He will be the only witness for the defense in the case. Bankman-Fried is not accused or implicated directly in the case.
