Mack Trucks employees go on strike after rejecting contract
Mack Trucks employees staged a three day strike in late July 2020 after rejecting a proposed contract from the company. The union representing the workers, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW), had been in negotiations since May, and Mack Truck’s offer was also turned down by 96% of the union members. The strike was ended with a new four year agreement, which will provide employees with improved wages, healthcare, retirement and other benefits.
