More than 75,000 workers to strike at hundreds of Kaiser Permanente health facilities across U.S.

The National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW) is planning a massive strike against Kaiser Permanente, one of the largest health care providers in the United States. The strike would involve more than 75,000 workers at hundreds of Kaiser facilities across the US, and is scheduled to start on October 14, 2019.

The union demands that Kaiser invest in a cost of living adjustment, increase staffing levels, and address shortfalls in mental health services. The strike would be the largest walkout against Kaiser in its history.
