Vitalik Deposits 400 ETH to Coinbase, Total 2421 ETH Sent to Multiple CEXs in 10 Days
Vitalik, the creator of Ethereum, has been busy sending Ethereum (ETH) to various cryptocurrency exchange platforms. According to data from ETH Gas Station, Vitalik has sent a total of 2421 ETH to multiple CEXs in the past 10 days.
Vitalik started by sending 400 ETH to Coinbase on April 3. In the span of a single day, Vitalik sent 6 ETH to Bitstamp and 111 ETH to BitMEX. On April 4, Vitalik sent 550 ETH to Kraken and 200 ETH to Bitstamp. The very next day, the Ethereum founder sent 200 ETH more to Bitstamp.
In the following days, Vitalik sent smaller amounts of ETH to multiple exchanges, including Kraken, Bitfinex, Bibox, Bitstamp, and more. By April 14, Vitalik had transferred 2421 ETH to different exchanges.
The purpose of these transactions is currently unclear. However, it has been pointed out by some that Vitalik often transfers ETH from one wallet to another and then uses it to either pay for services, buy tokens, or launch ICOs. It is likely that the ETH transfers are related to these activities.
