Disney drops all but free speech claim in political retaliation suit against Ron DeSantis
Disney has dropped all but one of its claims in a political retaliation lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. The suit, filed in April, alleges that the governor unlawfully blocked the theme park from reopening in the state as political payback for its liberal-leaning positions. Disney’s remaining claim is that Governor DeSantis violated their First Amendment right to free speech by retaliating against the company for its political views. Disney has requested a jury trial in the case.
