Auto workers union announces tentative agreement to end strike with Stellantis
The United Auto Workers (UAW) union announced a tentative agreement with Stellantis to end the ongoing strike on Saturday.
The agreement, which was reached after nearly three months of negotiations, includes advancements in wages, job security, retirement packages, and other contract negotiations, according to a statement from the union.
“This agreement improves the lives of our members and their families today and into the future with job security and promises that should last a generation,” UAW President Rory Gamble said in a statement.
The union has yet to release details of the agreement, but it said it would provide more information to its members soon.
Members will need to vote on the agreement, and if passed, Stellantis employees will return to work.
