Delta says Hollywood and auto strikes are denting business travel
Delta, the largest US airline, said the recent strikes by Hollywood writers and auto workers are starting to hurt its business travel bookings, particularly in Detroit and Los Angeles. The airline said that the weakened economy has already cut into demand for business travel, and the disruption from the strikes has further reduced bookings. The airline said it had adjusted its capacity to better match the lower demand and that it expected its international business travel would show some improvement later in the year.
