After holding interviews in February, a new branch manager, Alex Grinnell, has been hired for the Sacred Heart Federal Credit Union (SHFCU) in VC.

Grinnell graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. He has over 10 years of customer service in the banking industry and worked as a business banking specialist for Umpqua Bank.

He has family in Lewiston, as well as his fiancée, Jessica, a highly talented financial analyst from Umpqua Bank.

Grinnel believes that self-development and growth are needed to succeed. He values a customer-oriented philosophy with customer relationships based on trust.

“My goal is to build relationships with the members so they can be comfortable coming to me for any of their financial needs. The biggest thing I think of now is how to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our members and the community,” said Grinnell.

Grinnell also had a few comments that related to his SHFCU experience so far.

“I have to say, I’ve absolutely loved my experience here so far. What’s great is that everyone truly wants the best for the members – from the staff to the Board of Directors to the Supervisory Committee – it’s all about the member experience,” Grinnell said.

Grinnell also noted the financial services that SHFCU offers to its members.

“We offer something for everyone, from savings accounts to loans, to online and mobile banking, and more. We have a “people helping people” mindset and strive to provide the best service and products for our members.”

In addition, Grinnell finds this experience rewarding and has now been part of the SHFCU team for over two months.

“I’m very proud to be part of the Sacred Heart FCU team. I really see this as a great opportunity to serve our members and the community,” said Grinnell.

The Sacred Heart FCU is a not-for-profit financial institution owned and operated by its members, and is now open for business Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at SHFCU’s VC branch.
