Is Another US Government Shutdown on The Horizon?
At this time, it is not possible to know for certain if and when another government shutdown might occur. The current U.S. government funding is due to expire on December 11, 2020, and Congress may need to pass a new spending bill by then to keep the government running. With the political divisions in Washington, it may be difficult for the President and Congress to find an agreement to reach a deal. Depending on the outcome of upcoming negotiations, another government shutdown could be a possibility.
