Newsom says Biden’s age is no problem: ‘I want a seasoned pro’
In an interview on MSNBC, California governor Gavin Newsom endorsed Joe Biden for president, stating that Biden’s age does not bother him at all. When asked about Biden’s age, which is 76, Newsom said, “I want a seasoned pro. I want somebody who’s going to show some wisdom and ability to pass the baton and be thoughtful about policy decisions. And I think Joe Biden clearly fits that bill.” Newsom went on to explain that Biden has “a breadth of experience and a knowledge and an expertise that far exceeds anyone else in the field,” making him an ideal candidate.
