Zelensky dismisses compromise with Putin, pointing to Prigozhin’s death
President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has firmly dismissed any possibility of a compromise with Russian President Vladimir Putin, even after the death of oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin, one of Putin’s closest associates. Zelensky declared that he would not be prepared to negotiate with Putin as long as Crimea remained annexed and the violence in eastern Ukraine continued unabated. He further indicated that any potential compromise might prove detrimental to the interests of Ukraine.
